Celcom is telecommunications company that provides prepaid and contract cell phone plans and broadband services to the Malaysian market. If you're a Celcom pay-as-you-go customer and run out of credit, you can ask friends or relatives who also use Celcom to transfer credit to your phone. The Airtime Share Credit Transfer System can be useful if you need to make an important call but have exhausted your funds. Transferring airtime credit to a friend or relative is a secure and straightforward process.
Compose a new SMS message on your Celcom handset. Type "CAT," insert a space and type your six-character Celcom password into the body of the message. The method for composing an SMS will depend on the handset you're using.
Insert another space and enter your mother's name.
Send the SMS to 1019.
Compose another SMS message and type the number of Malaysian ringgits you want to transfer to your fellow Celcom subscriber followed by a space. If you want to transfer five Malaysian ringgits, type "RM5" followed by a space.
Enter your Celcom password.
Send the SMS message to the prepaid mobile number of the person you want to transfer airtime to, remembering to add a prefix of "1." The message will need to be sent to 1 followed by the recipient's cell phone number.
Transfers of RM2 and below will expire in one day, while transfers of between RM3 and RM25 will expire in three.
