The average salary for a temporary accountant can vary dramatically as a result of the company, the accountant's level of experience, geographic location and the accounting specialty (such as corporate accountant vs. revenue accountant, for instance). Employers hire temporary accountants for short-term projects and temporary-to-hire positions that involve a wide range of accounting duties and responsibilities.
